Healthy Child Project
The Indus Valley Civilisation is unique because it was the only culture where toys and games were made for the joy of children. Play is imperative to a child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
However, over 30 million unorganized labourers live in Rajasthan, many in Jodhpur’s stone mining industry. Their children lack access to safe play areas, compounding risks of mortality and stunting early childhood development.
Partnering with the Integrated Child Development Network (ICDN), Meera Sansthan is launching a 5-Stage Program to promote equal opportunities for underprivileged children, starting with 100 select Anganwadi centers in Jodhpur.
Program Stages
- Stage 1: Play Structures (Swings, Slides, Seesaws)
- Stage 2: School Kits
- Stage 3: Nutrition Improvement
- Stage 4: Solar Panels & Water Filters
- Stage 5: ICT Materials (Audio/Video)
