Since 2007, Meera Sansthan has worked to strengthen the livelihoods of traditional leather artisans through skill development, design innovation, product diversification, market access, financial inclusion and institutional development. The programme formed 32 Self-Help Groups benefiting 489 artisans, trained 349 artisans, supported access to bank credit for 148 artisans and enabled participation in national fairs and exhibitions.
Artisans generated more than ₹38 lakh in direct sales and ₹47 lakh in business orders through supported market linkages.
